Remarks & Notes
Portland & Western 1801 switches a cut of cars near the P&W yard office in Eugene. An authentic former SP unit built in 1959, the 1801 sports the attractive SP ‘Black Widow’ livery but is lettered for the Willamette & Pacific, which was merged into the P&W in 2000. The P&W/W&P comprise Genesee & Wyoming’s regional network of operations in western Oregon, mostly operating on spun-off SP and BN branchlines.
