A Santa Fe westbound rounds the curve into Cajon, in the heart of southern California's Cajon Pass, on a snowy January day in 1988. The train has five autoracks ahead of the intermodal flats, and is powered by ATSF C30-7 8094, ATSF SD45 5396, ATSF SD40-2 5206 and BN SD40-2 6353. And, foreshadowing the BNSF merger just nine years in the future, along with BNSF 6353, the caboose was BN 12377.
