Remarks & Notes
Two TransNamib locomotives and one of 20 wagons filled with sulphuric acid for leaching of uranium ore at Rössing mine at Arandis derailed near Dune 7 between Walvis Bay and Swakopmund on 15th July 2015. That accident have been caused by a section of track that was damaged by a truck that got stuck while crossing the railway line. Both locomotives were brand new refurbished GT26MC locomotives from South Africa.
