T35 roars up the 1.2% grade out of Lake City, racing against the sunset before it enters the shadows of the Cumberland Mountains. This line runs to Jellico, TN, and is of Southern Railway heritage. Originally the L&N had trackage rights on this route to reach Knoxville, but would complete its own route (the present-day KD Subdivision of CSX) in 1904.
