A brisk Sunday afternoon in Soledad Canyon finds Union Pacific's northbound ZLCLT intermodal train approaching Ravenna on Metrolink's Valley Subdivision, formerly part of Southern Pacific's San Joaquin Valley line. Below the headend of the train is part of the Shambala Preserve, an animal sanctuary which is home for many exotic big cats such as lions, tigers, bobcats and even a panther.
