| February at Tanfield Railway is "On the Wagon" month when freight trains are run as well as the regular passenger service. This year saw a new innovation when customers were allowed to ride on the freight for a small extra charge. Here Sir Cecil A Cochrane hauls a short freight with the brake van at the rear, containing paying passengers, up the bank into the main station at Andrews House |
