Remarks & Notes

The Benedictine Monastery at Montserrat is served by a 5km (3.1 miles) metre gauge rack railway operated by the Ferrocarril de la Generalitat de Catalunya (FGC) from Monistrol de Montserrat station in the valley below. This 4-car train has just left the station at Montserrat, situated under the car park, and is heading downhill to the valley 550m (1804 ft) below.
