| CN 1282, an SW1200RS handles switching duties on the business side of the Canadian National station in Vancouver, BC on the U.S. President's Day weekend thirty years ago. Passenger trains are run by VIA and at this time both the former CN Super Continental and CP Canadian were in operation. The CP SD40-2 is on the point of the outbound Canadian offering additional support for what would turn out to be a weekend of blizzard conditions from Vancouver all the way through the Fraser and Thompson River canyons. |
