Remarks & Notes
Getting the signal at East Portal siding to let them know the Moffat Tunnel was theirs, a BNSF coal train storms westbound on October 3, 2001. This empty coal train is headed to Utah for loading and is powered by six EMD SD70MACs, led by Burlington Northern No. 9676. That blast of smoke would make an Alco or steam locomotive proud!
