Remarks & Notes

An Acela Express roars through Eddystone, PA. Eddystone, incorporated on December 7, 1888, is best known for being the location of the larger of the two Baldwin Locomotive Works plants, (the smaller being located in Spring Garden, Philadelphia). The plant, built in 1906 and expanded in 1928, produced its last steam locomotive in 1956.
