Remarks & Notes |
A CN transfer from the Vancouver area to Thornton Yard enters the east wye of the Fraser River CN/SRY/BNSF bridge which is situated immediately east of the Pattullo highway bridge which connects New Westminster with Surrey, BC. This is a draw bridge which permits commercial water traffic to move up the Fraser River as well as serving the three railroads plus Amtrak. In this view the railroads were still CN/BC Hydro/BN. The CP also uses foreground trackage to reach New Westminster from their Pt. Coquitlam yard east of Vancouver. |
