Remarks & Notes

There aren't too many trains that traverse the line south of Portage in the Winter. One such train is the 110S seen here at Bird Point. As the Port of Anchorage is not ice free occasionally a barge bound for the POA docks in Seward or perhaps a lumber or pipe barge will dock in Seward. When that happens the railroad will run a train of empty flats south to be loaded in Seward and return north for Anchorage.
