| This former Soo Line Depot and adjacent freight house located at Moose Lake, MN contains many interesting exhibits pertaining to the history of the area and also the history of area railroads. The depot itself is considered one of Soo Line's "first class" depots built with one story that usually contained a waiting room, an office for the depot agent and a baggage room. The Soo Line came through Moose Lake in 1909, running between Brooten
and Superior and the tracks were removed in the 1970's and 80's as the railroad faded away. Now the roadbed is used to make the Soo Line ATV and snowmobile trail. |
