Inaugural Run on the Santa Special
The Morristown & Erie's newest locomotive, ME 23 is seen on the point of the Santa Special. While the unit was painted a few months back the engine still had some mechanical issues which needed to be resolved before being put into service. A few months after its unveiling M&E 23 would be broken in on the Whippany Santa trains before heading to the Bayway refinery.
As a member of the team responsible for repainting this locomotive into its new paint scheme it was certainly a grand moment to see it running and drawing quite a crowd. |
