Canadian National M636 2330 and sisters are hauling a long mixed freight east toward Montreal. Train has just passed the Brockville Yard and will shortly make a crew change near the Via Station. The photographer spent the night in a sleeping bag using an empty CPR boxcar for shelter. Fog and rain hampered morning photography. He captured this freight at midday during the memorable summer of 1974. Two years later this locomotive was sold to Cartier and the number 2330 now lights up the number boards on a GE unit.
