The Pacific Express
On a beautiful summer morning, a pair of Pennsylvania Railroad E8's powered an all-private car excursion up the scenic Southern Tier. With daylight operations on the tier being very uncommon, and passenger trains running up the tier simply unheard of dozens upon dozens were out chasing this excursion to catch a glimpse of the E's on the Tier. Matching the man-made beauty of the train itself is the wonderful landscape in Barryville, NY as the train crosses the Lackawaxen River which flows into the Delaware in the foreground. |
