Amtrak's tri-weekly Cardinal begins their night run across the C&O from Huntington towards Indianapolis, and on to Chicago, with a fresh crew and the usual 7-car consist. Next stop: Ashland, KY, a few miles down the line from restored C&O caboose #3238, which now calls the former Catlettsburg passenger depot home, along with a few other relics of the Chessie era.
