Not self propelled steam rotary # 4 of the Bergen line, part of the Rallarmuséet (Navvies museum) in Finse, Norway's highest railway station on 1222 meter a.s.l. This sixaxle rotary with fouraxle tender was built in 1914 by the Skabo Jernbanevognfabrik, Sköien pr. Kristiania and the railways own Thunes workshops and was in use till 1976! The Bergen railway was opened in 1909 and this rotary, based in Finse, replaced former not enough efficient material in 1914. On the left, snow plow and the former eastern shed of Finse, now the navvies museum (Rallarmuseet).
An ongoing/growing album of photos that IMHO reveal the awesome, but seldom seen beauty of railroads because most of us don't go out after sundown or before sunrise. From dusk to dawn, lights are on! (And I continue to find new "Lights In The Night"!)
