Remarks & Notes
Steam on the Denver & Rio Grande Western standard gauge in 1977? Yes indeed! A 150-ton Bucyrus derrick was called out of Roper Yard to clean up an eight car derailment at Provo Yard on March 4, 1977. A passing coal train split a switch, derailing eight cars at the University Avenue interchange with Union Pacific.
