After some shop work, electrical tinkering and half a new coat of paint, 407 is back in action to serve as the main motive power on the Catskill Mountain Railroad's 'Esopus Scenic Train' in what should soon be a New York Central inspired paint scheme, similar to her cousin number 401 in Kingston.
This unit was built in 1946 for the Long Island Railroad, and later served as a MoW engine on the SIRT system.
From a hint of "Bee" (NKP 765), colorful "Bees" (KCS), "Bees" w/ "attitude", to "Bees" that "sting" your eyes, in their own way they have "Bee" on display! Equipment that "Buzzes" with Yellow & Black colors! ("Bees" can still "Bee" entering this "hive"!)
Not
just heritage schemes, not just commemorative schemes - this album is devoted to some of the world's most interesting paint schemes, past or present.
