At one point E-L's Morris and Essex Division used to feature such trains as the "Owl", the "Lake Cities" series, the short lived "Erie-Lackawanna Limited", and of course the famous "Phoebe Snow", plus a few freights that didn't take the Boonton Line. Now 49 years later, NJ Transit's Hoboken and MidTown Direct trains, with an occasional Morristown & Erie local (Usually consisting of one to two cars), utilize this line.
