Union Pacific's LUC53 local pulls a brand new 75-ton Grove RT875 Rough Terrain Crane through Salt Lake City on August 23, 1993. It features a 4-section boom with a maximum length of 125 feet, a telescoping swing-away lattice extension of 60 feet, and an optional lattice extension of 35 feet. It also features a rugged deep box section frame designed to handle tough conditions, and a host of other features which enhance its usefulness and flexibility at the job site. It will be delivered to a heavy equipment dealer in the Centennial Industrial Park west of downtown.
