There is a lot of power on the head-end of this Burlington Northern Santa Fe freight at Edwards, near California's Edwards Air Force Base, on January 2nd, 1998. Power for this train consists of Burlington Northern SD40-2 8174, BN SD40-2 6815, 3 more BN SD40-2s, a Santa Fe SDP40F, BN SD40-2 7912, ATSF GP20 3067 and ATSF GP40X 3801 - a total of nine locomotives, seven of them six-axle diesels.
