Remarks & Notes
The CPL's are dying.

The Color Position Lights, which safely guarded untold thousand of trains and their crews in their lifetime were installed by the Norfolk & Western railroad in the 1960's by retrofitting the PRR type Position Lights in use since the 1920's. Now their time has come to be replaced by newer, more efficient ones. The short time I knew them was all the more bittersweet in that these magnificent sentinels, old but solid railroad infrastructure, did not have much more time. Catch 'em while you can boys.
