Soo Line SD40 748, seen in the later "Candy Apple Red" scheme at the Belt Railway of Chicago's Clearing Yard in Bedford Park, Illinois, was built in August 1970. From this angle, one can see the smaller fuel tank, rear-mounted brake wheel and winterization hatch (over the forward radiator fan). (September 21st, 1997)
