With Detroit Edison coal loads in tow, CSX N811 parades along the Big Sandy River, splitting a pair of oddball bracket mast signals housing C&O-style signals, westbound on the railroad's former C&O mainline from Russell, Ky. to Pikeville, K at 1:45 AM on June 11, 2015.
This is dedicated (with permission) to the skilled and gifted photographer - Chase Gunnoe - who regularly posts and is on staff with RP. I believe he deserves a gallery showcasing his remarkable photos. This is for you Chase! (More great photos to come!)
Photographs where trains and people mix, weather it's street running, plant switching or carrying a unit grain train out of an elevator, it will be put here.
A continuously growing album of photos that IMHO reveal the awesome and seldom-seen beauty of the railroad world from the dimming of day to dawn's early light! From dusk to dawn, trains roll on! (I'm still finding gems of sunset-to-sunrise surprises!)
