| Builders Plate - The rail line through the Carrizo Gorge was constructed starting in 1906 and it opened in 1919.
Here, an old Santa Fe hopper stands on a siding at Goat Canyon next to the large wooden trestle that spans the canyon.
One of the wheels on the far truck is in the dirt, perhaps to keep the car from rolling since the end of the siding is down hill towards the canyon and the main is not protected with a derail.
