Remarks & Notes

BNSF 1882, one of several Galesburg Yard trimmer units, briefly pauses at the front of the hump bowl so a crew member can hop off to throw a switch. This specific EMD SD40-2 was built new for the Atchison, Topeka and Santa Fe Railway back in November of 1979 as ATSF 5115 (Bluebonnet). The unit now sports a new owner, new number, and a new paint job.
