"Upgrade Through Butler"
A matched set of SD40T-2's along with an SD40-2 team up to bring the evening SU-99 through Butler. The train is seen navigating the elevated curve through town as the engineer notches the engines up to battle the grade that lies ahead.
Prior to the summer of 2011 consists like this were regular sights on the Susquehanna until the CEFX "Bluebirds" showed up. While those mixed things up for a bit, once the SD60's showed up the older 40T's and 40's had been relegated to local work and rarely lead road trains. |
