Remarks & Notes
An amply powered coal train is parked north of Angora, NE awaiting a new crew. The third unit is a venerable ex-CB&Q SD9. Coal traffic was experiencing tremendous growth during this period, and even with the CNW/UP entry into the Powder River Basin, BN continued to add more trains and double track.

Not just heritage schemes, not just commemorative schemes - this album is devoted to some of the world's most interesting paint schemes, past or present.
