Remarks & Notes
There’s not much revenue on Rock Island’s eastbound Train 10, Corn Belt Rocket, originating across the river at Omaha, Nebr. and now leaving Council Bluffs, Iowa with only two coaches and an empty express box car, behind two E units on May 8, 1965, headed for Chicago. The Rockets were long gone, but the railroad struggled along for another 15 years until calling it quits in March, 1980.

No matter what the paint or engine, there is something about a pair or group of identical engines that really makes a photo tick.
