One of the machines in the track maintenance arsenal is a tamper, like the one seen here east of Plainview, Colorado, on June 24, 2012. This Pandrol Jackson 6700 tamper (now Harsco Rail) works a series of sun kinks on a curve in the cut at milepost 23 after a very hot day. This machine uses computers to check track alignment, as well as hydraulic machinery to lift and align rails, and tamp ballast. Practically a track gang in one machine!
From a hint of "Bee" (NKP 765), colorful "Bees" (KCS), "Bees" w/ "attitude", to "Bees" that "sting" your eyes, in their own way they have "Bee" on display! Equipment that "Buzzes" with Yellow & Black colors! ("Bees" can still "Bee" entering this "hive"!)
