Remarks & Notes
Norfolk Southern train E49 crosses the mile-long Neuse River bridge into Bridgeton, North Carolina, from New Bern, on its way towards Chocowinity. E49 is a daily freight operating into the far eastern reaches of the Piedmont Division along the Raleigh East District. The train originated the previous day in Linwood, NC, as train number 350. Symbols and crews change when it becomes a "local" in Selma. Photo by Casey Thomason. For more information about Norfolk Southern, visit www.nscorp.com
