Remarks & Notes
The hottest train on the railroad. - You know it's hot when it's got foreign power (UP) on a foreign railroad (MRL) and only two cars behind. This was a "J" train special out of Fort Worth, TX with a pair of Skybox cars destined for the Boeing 777 assembly plant at Everett, WA. Here just moments after passing through the tunnel and cresting the at 5,565 foot summit of Bozeman Pass. The original western portal, finished in 1884, can be seen behind the power to the right of the current alignment. I was lucky to capture this unique train at several different spots along the MRL mainline, just click here to view.
