Remarks & Notes
Montana Rail Link GP9 No. 127 sits silent on a spur adjacent to the load out point for MRL's "Miltown Dam Dirty-Dirt" trains which for several months in 2007 hauled contaminated soil from the Milltown Dam clean up site near Bonner to Warm Springs, MT. The temporary trackage at this site was pulled up and turned back into open countryside at the completion of the dirt transfer project in early 2008. As of this typing, MRL 127 (who started out life as GN 680 in May 1954) was still active on the roster celebrating nearly 61 years of rail service. For an additional nose on view of 127, click here.
