| Not a lot going on around the yard as majority of the humping is almost completed for the first half of the 2nd shift. As the evening light begins to show NS 6191 a former N&W SD40-2 is pumping air to the paired slug, and its train, before the remote control operator (RCO) get to the rear of the train so the humping process can begin. Imagine almost ten years ago on the east end of Debutts Yard that majority of the hump yard motors were MP15DC "Buttheads" paired with a slug with a two to three man crew doing the hump job. "just a faded memory now as the hump job are now operated by one person!" |
