Remarks & Notes
This station is significant in that it was the first Amtrak designed station to be built, and is of the classic Amtrak style that is recognizable in many cities around the country. This is also the style of building Walthers made an HO scale model of. It is the fifth passenger rail station in the City of Rochester, NY has had, and it is on borrowed time; slated to be replaced by a combined bus and train terminal in 2015. For now, the platform canopy is original New York Central iron work with cast "ROCHESTER" signs at each end.
