| DC 4634 and 4156 were rebuilt from EMD G12 DA class locomotives between 1978 and 1983. The train is a special working from Waingawa near Masterton to Wellington port where the logs will be exported (principally to China.) The ranges in the background are overcome by a 5.5 mile long tunnel opened 1955. |
