Remarks & Notes

Three generations of conventional Amtrak electric power, consisting of an ACS-64, HHP-8, and AEM-7 (left to right), are displayed in Ivy City Yard, Washington DC in a historical gathering. Both the AEM-7 and HHP-8 locomotive types will ultimately be replaced by the type on the left; the ACS-64, represented by #623 which was brand new and yet to pull its first revenue train at the time of the photo. Thanks goes out to the employees of Washington Terminal for supporting this once in a lifetime gathering.
