Remarks & Notes
CNW 923, a former Chicago Great Western SD40 rumbles east along the station platform in Eau Claire, WI with what is most likely train 472. At the time, trains 471 and 472 operated between East Minneapolis, Altoona, Marshfield, Wausau, and Green Bay, WI. Later the trains were re-routed via Clyman Jct. and Fond du Lac, and eventually they would operate into Butler (Milwaukee) before they were dropped completely.
