Remarks & Notes
The Palm Jumeirah Monorail is a driverless monorail line (the first in Middle-East), leading from the mainland to the hotel Atlantis at the outer border of the man-made island. The line length is about 5.45 km (3.68 miles). A connection to the Dubai Metro is still missing, therefore the number of passengers is very low. Although opened in spring 2009, two stations in the middle (Trump tower and Palm Mall) have never been opened. The picture has been taken in late 2009 near the Palm Mall Station, which can be seen in the background. A lookup at Google shows this area almost unchanged.
