Remarks & Notes |
A nearly perfect reflection. VIA 63 (with VIA 6434 and 6 stainless steel cars) is backing up to Montreal's Central Station about 80 minutes before its 10:10 AM departure time. The train and much of Montreal's ever changing skyline is casting a nearly perfect reflection in Montreal's Peel Basin. This basin had been filled in with dirt from Montreal's metro tunnels during the 1960s when the Lachine Canal was rendered obsolete by the St-Lawrence Seaway. Thankfully the city of Montreal dredged the basin out about 10-15 years ago, making views such as this possible. |
