An early 213 was hot news today for everyone along the Piedmont Division. At 7:30am, the train was in Manassas, the connection point from the B-Line of the Virginia Division from Front Royal. The hotshot flew 600 miles in only 11 hours (averaging 55 miles per hour for the entire run, which included three crew changes. Why did it cause such an uproar?
