Remarks & Notes
N&W’s regular Train 5 from Bluefield, W. Va. to Norton, Va. was double-headed with 4-6-2’s to accommodate several extra excursion cars from as far away as Washington, D.C., sponsored by the NRHS on May 4, 1957. Regular passengers probably wondered why this back-up move for a photo run-by at desolate Hamilton Trestle out of Holbrook Tunnel between St. Paul and Coeburn, Va.
