A typical mid-'70s Southern Pacific lash-up - a trio of SD45s and a U33C - pass the Colton Tower, which controls the crossing of the SP and the Santa Fe (over which the Union Pacific has trackage rights). This crossing was a very busy place and, as a result, a popular hangout for railfans.
