After holding for MOW work, an 11 unit lite power Repo move, D-BARLAC, heads south passed the CEMEX plant at Victorville. The 5350 is the only non-GEVO leader in this consist, which itself sums up the power situation west of Barstow for road trains on BNSF due to self-imposed regulations prohibiting most units for environmental purposes.
There are times when many engines, cars or cabooses are concentrated in a location. Such sites are for storage, economic reasons, active power needs or for rebuilding. For others, wear and tear have brought their usefulness to and end.
