Remarks & Notes
A short Gettysburg and Northern train slips south past the northern patches of the Gettysburg Battlefield along Oak Ridge that saw action during July 1, 1863 when Confederate forces from Carlisle engaged the Union 11th Corps and Calvary before giving way. The light engine power picked up all trailing cars at the paper plant in Biglerville some 5 miles to the north and is running long hood forward. The NPS has apparently decided to let some of the fields grow out.
