Several Copper Basin Railway EMD GP18 and GP9 locomotives gather at Hayden, Arizona, on March 8, 2005. CBRY No. 201 is former Rock Island GP18 No. 4421, while in the background, No. 205 is former Great Northern GP9 No. 670 (later BN No. 1822). At least some older northern locomotives do indeed semi-retire to a sunny southwest…
