Former NdeM 4-8-4 #3028 has logged many miles on the New Hope and Ivyland Railroad - unfortunately, all unpowered and between the shop and back lot as can be seen here through the years. Such a project has it's risks, of course... It seems, for now, management does not see an operable "light" 4-8-4 in this corner of Northeast PA as a project of much priority. Not many would, yet there are others with viable plans - look no further then WMSR's interest in C&O 2-6-6-2 #1309 or even rumors of R&N returning RDG 4-8-4 #2102 back to operation along side of 4-6-2 #425. Even Strasburg has announced restoration plans for former LIRR #39, a large 4-6-0 built by the PRR. Time will tell.
