A regional train from Naumburg, Saxony-Anhalt, will soon arrive at its terminal station in Saalfeld, Thuringia. On the ride it has passed Jena, an important university city in Thuringia. The electric locomotive series 143 was produced in the former GDR. After the German reunification, its operational area spread to the whole of Germany, despite the relatively low speed limit of 120 km/h (about 75 mph).
